Corduroy Road is a wispy laceweight scarf, perfect for spring layering when you still need a little extra warmth. Stocking and reverse-stocking stitch stripes are framed by feathery foliage which creates a beautifully scalloped edge, and the ends taper to rounded points. Worked from one tip to the other, in one piece, it’s a surprisingly quick knit and perfect for gifting. The sample is 67 inches (170cm) long, and 8 inches (20cm) wide, but you can make it any length or width you like; it would also look lovely made in a 4ply/fingering weight yarn. The pattern has both written and charted instructions. Tension is not too important for this, just choose a needle that gives you a fabric you’re happy with.

Corduroy Road is also available in a version designed for thicker yarn and cooler weather. You can purchase both for £4.00 - see the Corduroy Road Heavyweight page for more info.
