The poor Corpse Bride! After being murdered by her husband, she has to do the moral thing and reject Johnny Depp! (Sob!) The good news, however, is that now you can make it up to her by showing her some good old fashioned crochet love.

This is an intermediate pattern - but don’t panic. You don’t need to juggle knives while doing a back handspring and crocheting with your toes. You just need to know the basic stitches, including sc, HDC, and DC, along with the associated decreases. You also need to know how to do French knots. YouTube will be happy to teach you any of these things in about five minutes’ time. The pattern, meanwhile, contains clear instructions and more than 25 pictures to help you on your way.

To make the Bride, who stands a little shy of 11 inches tall when finished, you will need yarn in the colors pictured, as well as a scrap of pink or red felt for the mouth and a short length of wire (say, 6 inches or so). I recommend that you have some black fabric paint (and if you do, you don’t need safety eyes - nifty!).
