Construction: The corrugated hat and cowl set is a simple knit accessory set that plays up the color and texture of a fun bulky weight yarn. Because you slip a knit stitch and purl stitch every other row you emphasized the knit stitches on this reversible, quick cowl. Pattern includes instructions for a tall and a wide version.

Skill level: Intermediate
Skills needed: Knitting and purling in the round, slipping stitches.

Dimensions:
Tall version: 30” circumference x 16” height
Wide version: 56” circumference x 8 ½” height

Gauge: 15 sts and 20 rows per 4” in slipped stitch seeded rib knit in the round

Materials:

  • US 10 ½ (6.5mm) 24” circular needles
  • 325-350 yards of bulky weight yarn. Samples shown in Lion Brand Mandala Watercolors (100 g., 164 yds, 75% Acrylic, 15% Wool, 10% Nylon), teaberry, 3 skeins and Berry Meadow Bulky Alpaca Blend yarn (105 yds,, 55% alpaca, 30% acrylic, and 15% wool), 4 hanks.
