One of the things I love the most about being a knitter , is being able to create one-of-a-kind knits for the babies born to friends and family.
While babies outgrow their clothes quickly, you know that more often than not, handknits are the ones that are saved. They are tucked away lovingly, and saved for the next generation, and the generation after that, quickly becoming family heirlooms.
Corvin was designed with that timeless appeal in mind. Simple cables grace the fronts, back, sleeves and even seams for a classic cardigan that will endure for generations. It uses two skeins of Wandering Cat Yarns Stray Cat - a superwash merino that’s not only a joy to knit with, but can take a few trips through the washer and dryer. It’s perfect for messy babies, and non-knitting moms and dads who may forget about proper garment care.
The cardigan is knit seamless with the top down, with minimal finishing required, making it a fun, satisfying knit.
