Two styles of tea cosies knit in chunky yarn for extra thickness and insulation.

The front and back walls are made separately then the roof is knit in one piece across the top of both walls. A hem is made for the roof, I have given full instructions with photos, and an alternative method for this.
The windows and door are made in double knit yarn and sewn onto walls

The best bit, for me, is the finishing touches, and I enjoyed experimenting with different types of stitches for the flowers, especially the french knot for roses. - but use your own imagination here. And don’t be too fussy about neatness of stitches, it’s a ‘quaint’ cottage!

A note about yarn. I couldn’t find the colour I wanted for the pink cottage in chunky so used 2 strands of double knit. I mainly used double knit for the flowers etc.

This pattern is an update of my previous one in which I used the intarsia (colour block) method for windows and doors. If you buy this pattern but would also like a copy of my previous version please message me.
