Counterpane Carpet Bag by Carrie Brenner

Counterpane Carpet Bag

Pattern description from Handknit Holidays: “Inspired by a design in a vintage knitting book, Carrie Brenner has adapted a counterpane pattern into an updated ‘granny’ bag, complete with bamboo handles and a coordinating accessories pouch… The rugged, bulky handspun wool used for the bag offsets the femininity of the scallops. The pattern takes on a whole new feel when worked in a finer silk yarn for the smaller version, designed to be tucked into the carpet bag or carried on its own.”
