I found this beautiful yarn and knew it must be mine. This is Gypsy Girl Creations in transitions. I also knew that these socks were going to be for me, and since I have not made myself lace socks, I did. I would love to see this as a knee high.
The lace pattern is 24 rows long, but I found a rhythm and did not need my notes after a while. If you feel intimidated, please just take it one row at a time. My directions are in the 2-at-a-time style by Melissa Morgan-Oaks. It is my preferred way of doing sock as I usually get 2nd sock syndrome. But by all means knit them in the style of your choosing and work any individual component in the way you like.
A quick note about the size: The nature of the stitch pattern does not easily adjust for different sizes; my suggestion is to change the gauge, use smaller or larger needles to get a smaller or bigger sock. I used size US 3 needles for my hubby’s size 13s. I will say that the leg of the sock is fairly stretchy. Many sizes could use it, then to size down for the foot; reduce the number of stitches on the sole of the sock.
