This cowl is part of a collection of 5 hats / 5 cowls in the first Ticker Knits collection: ‘Oh Boy’ (can be purchased on Amazon). ‘Ticker Knits’ is all about knitting words in language in a fair-isle fashion, minimizing the carried threads in stranded knitted.

For this cowl - the former First Lady of the USA, Eleanor Roosevelt wrote: “DO WHAT YOU THINK YOU CAN’T DO” - and the matching hat reads: “CURSE DARKNESS LIGHT A CANDLE”

The matching hats and cowls are reversible with one side displaying words and the other a simple design. The ‘reversibility’ hides the stranded knitting sections but also allows for FOUR combinations or ways that the set can be worn; on your chattier days, wear the words outwards and for subtler times wear just the design outwards instead - otherwise you can mix it up with the words facing out on one piece and the design facing inward on the other.
