This is an easy cowl with three different stitch techniques: The border is seed stitch, followed by a lace stitch, and in the middle is a wishbone cable stitch. I used Anny Blatt No. 5 wool yarn. It is a superwash, so any superwash or wool/silk, wool/alpaca or other soft yarn will work.

This can be knit with one skein (about 100 yards) and ends sewn together to create the cowl. Do not block it for cowl.

If you want a straight scarf, you can double or triple the length of the cowl an block it lightly to really bring out the stitch details.

Notions needed:
Size 9 US Knitting Needles
Third Size 9 Knitting Needle (if doing 3-needle bind off)
Tapestry needle to sew up cowl
4 Stitch markers to separate the stitch types.
