I fell in love with all the owl items I found on Ravelry and came up with the idea of making a hat and cowl that could be mixed and matched. Knit them both in the same yarn or make lots of Hat Border cowls in different colours to vary your look.

Beads, toy eyes or buttons may be used to embellish the cowl or hat. The optional Hat Border cowl does not need beads - instead it has eye-holes for fastening to owls eyes on the hat when not being worn as a cowl.
