This classic blanket is elegant enough to be used as a throw in your living room, yet is playful enough to be the perfect baby afghan. Multifunction is key! The vertical cables are reversible, so there is not a “bad side” of the blanket. Also, a built-in I-cord border gives the blanket a nice, neat, and finished edge on all sides. Since the I-cord is knit as-you-go, you do not have to pick up stitches all the way around the blanket after it is constructed! There are different techniques involved for creating the I-cord on the bottom, sides, and top of the blanket, but have no fear—I give detailed instructions and my own video instructional links to guide you through any of the more challenging elements of the pattern. I provide video tutorials because I find certain elements much easier to follow by watching and knitting along instead of deciphering written instructions.
