This is a collection of simple yet interesting coasters inspired by classic doily designs. Six varieties are included in the pattern.
Each uses 12g or less of your favourite KnitPal yarns.

To make the whole collection, you will need:

KnitPal Cotton to the Core DK (weight #3 - 78% cotton/22% acrylic, 142 yards per 50 grams)

  • Version 1 (Hexagon) uses approximately 23 yards, shown in Cocoa Brown
  • Version 5 (Square-ish) uses approximately 29 yards, shown in Pearl White

KnitPal Retro-Glam (weight #3: 43% polyester/57% acrylic, 320 yards per 100 grams)
* Version 2 (Hexagon Swirl) uses approximately 32 yards, shown in Rose Gold

KnitPal Cotton Alpaca Tweed (weight #3 - 60% cotton/20% alpaca/20% polyamide, 147 yards per 50 grams)
* Version 4 (Clusters) uses approximately 18 yards, shown in Orange Pumpkin

KnitPal Tweed Twinkles DK (weight #3 - 79% acrylic/21% polyester, 87 yards per 50 grams)

Hooks required:
US D / 3.25 mm crochet hook for Version 1
US E / 3.5 mm crochet hook for Version 3
US G / 4.0 mm crochet hook for Version 4, 5, and 6
US H / 5.0 mm crochet hook for Version 2

Notions required:
Tapestry needle
Measuring tape

Each finished coaster measures 4 1/2” - 5” in diameter. Gauge is not crucial for this project.

Skills required:
You will need to know how to work a chain stitch, a single crochet stitch, a half double crochet stitch, a double crochet stitch, join with a slip stitch, wrap a yarn over, and change yarn/color between double crochet stitches in the same round.
