At some point or another, every knitter wants to make a scarf. And why not? They’re simple, cuddly, and as much fun to wear as they are to knit. Here’s a great one to start with. Worked in soft, chunky wool, its big gauge makes it quick to knit. Practice stockinette stitch and slipping stitches at the beginning of each row to keep the edges tidy. Finish the ends with jaunty pompoms for a touch of whimsy!
