The Crafty Cupcake is an adorable tape measure, pin cushion and small notion tidy disguised as a cupcake!

There is nothing we knitters love more than to relax with a WIP and a sweet treat, or is that just me? Calorie free cupcakes are real.

Hidden beneath the knitted surface is a retractable tape measure, the frosted pink icing icing can be used as a handy pin cushion and the pastel cupcake case can be removed and used to store stitch markers and other small notions.

Instructions are written for both knitting in the round and knitting flat. You will find the in the round version towards the back of the pattern.

Yarn:
King Cole, Luxury Merino DK, one 50g ball of each
Oatmeal (2621),
Dusky Rose (2616)
Steel Blue (2614),
Candy Apple (2613)

Also needed:
Retractable tape measure, diameter 5cm
Ric Rac 1cm wide x 25cm long
Toy stuffing (safety)
Stitch markers
Fabric glue (optional)
Row headed pins
Sewing needle and thread

Needles:
3.25mm needles (3.25mm needles for working in the round)
3.25mm DPN’s for icing.
