Patons® Classic Wool (100 g / 3.5 oz)
Main Color (MC) (226 Black) 1 ball
Contrast A (204 Old Gold) 1 ball
Contrast B (227 Taupe) 1 ball
Contrast C (207 Rich Red) 1 ball
Contrast D (206 Russet) 1 ball
Contrast E (220 Bottle Green) 1 ball
Contrast F (229 Natural Mix) 1 ball
Contrast G (222 Sage Green) 1 ball
Contrast H (208 Burgundy) 1 ball
9 colors, 1 ball each

Sizes 4 mm (U.S. 6) and 4.5 mm (U.S. 7) knitting needles or size needed to obtain tension.
½ yd [0.5 m] of lining fabric.

Directions include handles, fabric lining, embroidering “Knit” onto front of bag, and twisted cord to embellish the sides and bottom of bag.

When working from chart, wind small balls of the colors to be used, one for each separate area of color. To change colors, twist the two colors around each other where they meet, on WS, to avoid a hole.

Ed note: The pattern calls for 1 skein of MC and smaller amounts of 8 skeins of CC’s which would then leave a lot of yardage for other projects. Stash yarns could also be incorporated.
