The Creadon Cowl is absolutely gorgeous to wear and designed with warmth and comfort in mind - I find it difficult to take this off in the winter season! It’s so much better than a scarf and totally snug over sweaters, jackets or coats, and much more unusual.

To make the Creadon Cowl you need approx 250 meters (260 yds) of super chunky or super bulky yarn, an 8mm circular knitting needle and a 6.5mm circular needle for the collar (US sizes 10 1/2 and 11).

One size fits most: Back length 14” (36cms), circumference at lower edge 42” (107cm).

The pattern is incredibly simple and easy to follow with row-by-row instructions. Suitable for an improving beginner used to working on a circular needle, and keen to practice some simple cabling.

You need to know how to knit, purl, knit 2 together, do basic cables and be able to follow simple knitting pattern terms and instructions. The cowl can be made in an afternoon by a practiced knitter - improving beginners may need to go a bit more slowly!
