NOTE :: VERSION 3 of this pattern has been released which includes a correction for row 21 of the cable chart for the optional cable panel.

The cable panel increases in st count as it is worked, and then decreases again. It starts with 38 sts and increases from there. Disregard the grey boxes as they are non-sts that the panel increases into. Choose to follow either the chart or the written instructions; if the chart is confusing, use the written instructions only.

This shrug is knit flat and seamed to create armholes.

Sizes :: to fit chest size :: 30-34, (34-38, 38-42, 42-46, 46-50)” (86.4, 91.4, 101.6, 107, 117, 122 cm). This sweater is meant to be oversized and long with an open, breathable fabric to wear across many seasons.

An oversized, cozy cardigan with optional cable panel and clean lines, this pattern is written for each knitter to personalize and make ones own by choosing the elements you would like to add or subtract. Optional pockets, cable motifs and a variety of sizing options make this cardi one of a kind.

There are TWO versions of this pattern; one with a cable panel down the center back, (instructions begin on pattern page 3) and one in plain stockinette stitch (instructions begin on pattern page 4) only. You also have the option of working pockets as you go, or of adding them wherever you wish after the piece is complete.

A full cable chart is included for the back panel as well as written instructions for completing the cable pattern.
