This semi-crescent shawl is extra long with a cozy, squishy garter stitch center and sharply pointed lace fins along the bottom edge. A simple garter body gains width and interest with a short lace section, bordered by garter ridges, and a lace edge that is knitted on, so in the end you only have to bind off 23sts!

The final shape of the lace edging is reminiscent of fish fins, and paired with the color of the yarn, reminds me of foggy, early, spring mornings fishing with my Grampy. It was my job to carry the creel.
