RIP 2020, though there were many blessings in 2020, it also held some creepy things for us, such as bat borne viruses? Maybe? Thankful for the blessings but ready to put the year to rest, Creepy Things is another block installment for the RIP 2020 Afghan/Throw. This modular block is available as a stand-alone modular block or as part of a series of blocks in the make up of the IMC RIP 2020 Afghan/Throw.

MC ROWS = 20 WINDOWS (21 DC, INC CH 4 @ BEG & DCLW)
CC ROWS = 19 WINDOWS (20 DC, INC CH 4 @ BEG)
SUGGESTED GAUGE: 8 DCI_-CH1 X 8 DCI_-CH1 = 4”/10cm SUPPLIES:
Suggested Yarn – Heavy Worsted/Aran: Berroco Vintage or Worsted Weight: Berroco Comfort or Lion Brand ZZ Twist, or any weight to obtain size and gauge desired
Crochet Hook: 4.5-5.5mm or any size to obtain size and gauge desired. The structure of Intermingled Mesh fabric is such that increasing the hook size as suggested on the yarn band by one size may be best, it will offer a bit more drape given the density of the fabric.
YARN SUBSTITUTION NOTE: Recommendation of approximately 60 grams in each color is based upon a worsted to heavy worsted weight yarn. Due to the nature of Intermingled Mesh Crochet regardless of yarn grist/weight the pattern requires the same number of stitches and as such if a heavier yarn is desired the yarn will have less yards/meters to 100G than a worsted weight yarn does to 100G. As such additional grams may be needed to complete the project. Likewise, if a lighter yarn is used, it will have more yards/meters per oz/gr and provides more yardage per 100G. As such, the same project will likely require fewer skeins of each color to complete the project.
