In music, a crescendo is a note that starts quietly and then increases in volume. That idea is replicated in this shawlette. Crescendo is an easy to knit sideways triangle shawlette that grows from a small amount of stitches. The lace pattern on the border is accented by beads, and is knit at the same time as the body. Garter stitch gives this shawlette a wonderful, squishy texture, while the easy lace pattern on the border keeps the project interesting.

The pattern is written out row by row.
