For baby blanket (katetka) we need 800-900m of lace of fingering weigh yarn.
For large shawl (31 teeth) we need 1900-2200m of
Yarn (bonus all over lace pattern).
Baby blanket in sock or DK yarn needs 1150m of yarn (blue baby blanket pictured – DK yarn).

Needles:
1.5mm for gossamer weight yarn
2mm-2.75mm for lace weight yarn
3mm-3.5mm for fingering weight yarn
4mm for dk weigh yarn.
-Soft lace weight or gossamer yarns will be a nice
choice for this pattern. The variety of yarns can be
used. This pattern can be made in soc and dk yarns (blue baby blanket).
Authentic Orenburg goat down plied with silk or cotton yarns (lace weight).
Alpaca (Misti Alpaca lace solids, lace Canada, )
Fingering weigh alpaca and mohair yarns (mohair yarns that have relatively low halo would work best).
Sock and DK weigh yarns can be used for baby blanket
