Items Needed:

5 mm crochet hook for ear warmers
6 mm crochet hook for body of flower, work last row with 5 mm hook
Yarn needle
Button
Two colors of worsted or medium weight yarn. I recommend Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Yarn. I would discourage using any yarn that’s a little fuzzy or too soft.

Stitches for this pattern:

This pattern calls for a Foundation Single Crochet (FSC) starting row. It’s imperative that you use a FSC instead of chaining and then working a row of SC because the FSC is much more flexible and stretches better. There’s a great tutorial provided by The Crochet Crowd on YouTube if you need help. I prefer using Mikey’s (from The Crochet Crowd) version of the FSC because it leaves a finished edge that mirrors the finished edge on the other side.
