These little lace-up beauties have a very nostalgic naughtiness. The silky stockinette fabric is sleek; the seed stitch border, neatly offset with a crisp purl outline, is simple and elegant. Knit flat, they lace up with satin ribbon through simple k2tog/YO eyelets.

Thanks to the lace-up sizes, the garter belt can be worn high or low on the hips, with the top resting just above the belly button or below the hip bones. It’s scaled to leave a nice gap of skin showing between the two panels, and the front panel is slightly smaller than the back to bring the ties forward a bit. Skip the garter tabs (or leave them) for a saucy hip sash over a little black dress.
