CrissCross Table Runner
This is a pattern that can be made as either a table runner of shorten it to make placemats.
Yarn: I recommend using an easy care fiber so you can throw it in the washer.
Size: Using the 2 whole skeins of Reynold Saucy Worsted (discontinued) gave me a finished measurement of 11’ x 23”. You can make it as long or short as you would like.
Needles: Size 7 and 8 24” circulars
Notions: Cable Needle, Tapestry Needle, Stitch Markers
If you would like less “ruffle” look on the end, you can use a size 6 needle and instead of CO 76, CO 72, K rows 1-3 and then on row 4 add 4 sts to get to the 76 needed for the main body of the pattern. When you get to the other side where you are ready to start the garter rows, change back to smaller needles, decrease 4 sts in your first row and then knit the final 2 rows even.
