Super cute crochet cap using metallic yarn. A little bit flapper, a little bit Gatsby, it is a loosely fitting beanie with a variety of pattern stitches to add interest. This hat is crocheted using one strand of metallic yarn together with one strand of regular yarn. Use two different colors, like the gold metallic with black regular yarn for a bold effect. Use similar colors, like the silver metallic(pewter) with gray yarn for a more subtle effect. The metallic yarn is lovely with a metallic sheen and soft texture. However, it snags very easily. Using it with another yarn helps to protect it so it doesn’t snag so easily.
Instructions are for two sizes: child or adult
An easy to follow pattern, tutorial style, with photos for each row as you go.
A large hook is used, L/11, 8 mm, so it works up quickly.
