This is my second crochet design, but first where I took notes of what I was doing. It is a small hair accessory, which I made for New Year’s Eve to match my party dress and add a bit of festivity and style.

The pattern is worked in rounds, so it’s useful to have a stitch marker. The yarn I used was some left over scrap yarn in light blue, changing for the bottom of the hat, because I ran out of the first colour. There is also a small ‘leaf’ in black yarn.

I worked the hat with a 2.5mm hook and my yarn was thin, so with normal pressure I produced a tight-enough hat without any holes in it.
