These mittens have a solid-colored hand and thumb and a striped chevron cuff with ridges created by crocheting in the back loop.

Pattern features:

  • The thumb is crocheted top down as a separate piece.
  • The mitten is worked top down. The thumb is attached on one side of the base while crocheting the hand (the rest of the thumb base is seamed at the end), a thumb gore/gusset is created as you approach the wrist, and the striped chevron cuff is crafted last.

Yarn is worsted weight. Quantities:

  • Size small: 2 ounces MC, 1 ounce CC
  • Size medium and large: 3 ounces MC, 1 ounce CC
  • MC: Eggshell
  • CC: Black
