PDF pattern for crocheted shorts. Directions for 4 sizes, XS,S,M,L, for hip sizes 34-40 inch (86-100 cm).
Fun, feminine and a little bit daring, these crocheted beach shorts are the perfect cover-up. Wear them for those long walks on the beach or from your hotel room to the pool. They would also look great over leggings or tights.
Crocheted in a lacy pattern. It reminds me of shells or waves in the water, that’s why I chose it for these shorts. Featuring a drawstring to tie a few inches below the waist. Crocheted in the round all in one piece so it is completely seamless. The back is the same as the front.
This pattern is designed with a snug fit. All the sizes were photographed on the same mannequin so the pink shorts (size L) look looser than they would actually fit.
This pattern is written in tutorial style with photos to guide you through each step. I would rate the pattern as intermediate since it is a little tricky at the leg division part.
Crochet cotton thread is called for, size 3 (eg. Aunt Lydias). Between 3-5 balls are needed of 150 yd., (137 m). Two hooks are needed, E-4 and F-5, (3.5 and 3.75 mm).
