This pattern was inspired by the knitted version Broomstick Bookmark.

Gauge is not important for this pattern and is easily adjusted to fit your desired size by changing the yarn/hook used.

This pattern is great for using up a few bits of scrap yarn.

There are two ways to make the handle on the broomstick, crocheted icord or a spiral. If you do not know how to do crocheted icord there are two ways I know of to do it. Following are links to the two different methods, if you want to learn how.
