Armour-like scales offer protection for your feet, while ribbing offers squishiness. Ahhh!

Knit from the top down, with a heel flap heel and standard toe.
Pattern continues onto the heel, if you like. One small simple chart gives the armoured effect. Please note: there are no written instructions for the chart. But it is very short and easy - certainly suitable for someone using charts for the first time. Why not give it a try? Then you can brag about the new thing you learned!

The yarn used to knit the socks pictured is no longer available - your favourite sock yarn will do nicely!

Pattern as written will fit ladies medium or mens small. Instructions are given for sizing the pattern up or down to fit just about anyone.

This pattern includes four pages of instructions for knitting your socks. Additional technical support is also available through e-mail consultation.
