I was inspired by a lovely photo taken by a friend of mine of a closeup of the center of a crocus. She graciously gave me permission to use her photos. This will be a little bit more of a challenging pattern, due to the many parts & complexity of the flower, but I hope you will enjoy the challenge. This was created for a free-form challenge, so there is no right or wrong way-if you can’t see a st, just catch a couple loops to hold the st needed. Please read through the whole pattern before beginning.
Materials Needed:
• 3 colors of sport or a light worsted weight yarn such as: Caron Simply Soft; White (CA), Lemon (CB), Grape Raisin (CC). (small amounts)
• Crochet Hook US D 3/3.25mm (or whatever size you desire to match the thread/yarn you choose to use)
• 6 stitchmarkers or scrap yarn
Gauge is not important for this flower, use any size thread/yarn & hooks to get the size you desire. Example shown in Caron Simply Soft & D hook: petals are 2 ½” long, flower is 5 ½” wide.

This flower could be made using any weight of thread or yarn depending on the size of flower you want. Pattern has not been tested, so if you find an error, or have questions, please feel free to pm me or leave a comment.
