What am I missing?
Crooked Cable Cap
Errata: if you downloaded this pattern before 9/25/11, then Row 2 and even rows should read: p2, YO, p1, p2tog, k6 around for S/M. and p2, YO, p2, p2tog, k6 around for M/L. This is corrected in the updated pattern.
This is a very easy hat that can be done in either fingering or sport weight yarn (depending on how dense you would like the fabric).
Note: To make more sizes available, there are two versions of this pattern with the only major difference being that the pattern has 12 stitches in the M/L size, and 11 in the S/M. They look almost identical. The M/L will fit heads 22.5” or larger, and the S/M will fit 20” heads. Both hats have 2” negative ease so finished sizes are actually 18” and 20”.
I did the M/L in Cascade Heritage Strawberry Cream, using roughly half of the skein. My S/M was done in Cascade 220 Sport Ruby, using 1 skein. I haven’t done a test knit with the Sport for M/L, so I would recommend having more than one skein, just to be safe.
