I developed this sweater when I couldn’t find a pattern for a cropped sweater that looked easy to make - this is the first crochet sweater I’ve ever made, so that should tell you something about how easy it is.

Pattern notes

The pattern includes a size chart with XS-XL sizes, but it is very easy to try on and adjust the size as you make it, so it’s easy to customize for any size, and gauge is not terribly important.

The pattern includes lots of pictures and as-you-go fitting notes, and guidelines for adjusting the fit to your preference (more or less cropped, longer/shorter cuffs, etc.)

It is a forgiving, beginner-friendly pattern and includes links to instructions for any techniques/stitches used that aren’t the basic stitches.

You are welcomed to sell finished sweaters.

Materials needed

  • Worsted weight yarn (recommended): Approximately 900m for a M/L size sweater.
  • Crochet hook: 5.00mm or as recommended for yarn
  • Two stitch markers (recommended)
  • Tapestry needle
