This little vest uses just one ounce of yarn. The length is 9 inches, with sleeves 5 inches long, and a chest measurement of 16 inches.
It is knitted throughout in stocking stitch apart from the ribbing at the hem and a narrow garter border all round.
A fine 4 ply could be substituted for the original yarn.
The pattern would have been first published in the early 1940s, but is as useful today as it would have been then.
