Inspired by the Northern Cross Timbers, an area in central Oklahoma that separates rolling prairie lands to the west from vast oak forests to the east, Alexis Winslow chose a horizontal zigzag motif with intertwining diamonds for this two-color cowl. Worked in stranded colorwork that creates yarn floats along the wrong side, the fabric provides double protection against the cold and wind. Edged with a bit of ribbing and a reverse stockinette roll, the bold pattern will hold your interest from cast-on to bind-off.
