knit in the round, this cowl is made up of a total of 12 sections, each
having 24 stitches worked in one of 4 different knit and purl checkerboards. the number of rounds to work the chart is up to you!

an excellent piece for beginners to master knit and purl techniques, as well as for experienced knitters to enjoy a fresh perspective on these old friends (knits and purls). the gauge was taken off the finished, blocked piece.

this is was my first published pattern, originally released by Skacel for the Fiber Factor. this re-release is entirely my own layout and editing, so please feel free to message me with any questions or errata.

happy knitting!

blocked dimensions for pattern as written are 160cm/63in in circumference and 25cm/10in wide. narrower version is 17cm/6.75in wide.
