Materials Required:

  • MC: 2 (2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 3) skeins Dream in Color Classy with Cashmere - 70% Superwash Merino Wool, 20% Cashmere, 10% Nylon - 200 yds per 4 oz skein - shown in Aquajet and Raspberry Blaze

  • CC: 1 (1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 2) skeins Dream in Color Classy with Cashmere - 70% Superwash Merino Wool, 20% Cashmere, 10% Nylon - 200 yds per 4 oz skein - shown in Starless Sky and Valentine

  • US 7 (4.5mm) 24” or longer circular knitting needle

  • US 7 (4.5mm) double-pointed needles

Construction: the body panel of this cardigan is knit from a counterpane at centre back, out on each side. Then stitches are picked up at the top of the body. The yoke joins body and underarm stitches, and is worked to the collar, using intarsia to maintain the contrast color sleeves. Lastly the collar, hem, and button bands are completed.

Due to the intermediate techniques required, this pattern is not suitable for beginners.

Required techniques: pinhole cast-on, reading lace from charts, knitting in the round, picking up stitches, intarsia, short row shaping.
