Like the friends we meet along life’s travels, we cross, move away and, if lucky, meet again.

Crossing paths is a gender-neutral pattern worked with a simple pattern repeat. This pattern was inspired by the yarn rather than any usual pattern-first approach, but was also test knit in a subtle colourway and still looks beautiful.

The Argyle-like pattern is bordered by a mock cable, so no extra needles to work through. The pattern can be feminine or masculine, changed by the yarn selected. It is a good “dark yarn” option in a world where so many need simplicity to show their beauty but is equally comfortable in a light yarn.

Think of the friends you have made and those you miss while knitting these socks and perhaps reach out to one that hasn’t crossed your path in a while.
