Vickie Howell had Madelinetosh dye some of their Unicorn Tails for one of her monthly box of goodies. When I received my box, I designed a hat using the Tails. Loved it so much, I knit another hat with other colors that Madelinetosh dyed for their Unicorn Tails. I did not stop there….I then designed a scarf to match the hats. When I finished, I loved the whole set!

If you have never done stranded colorwork, this is a small project that will let you master this skill! I love to knit the stranded holding each of the strands in each hand. Yes..you can be talented and impress the world holding 2 strands of yarn…one in each hand. You will enjoy!

Pick 5 colors for these. Be careful to pick colors that contrast at each section for both the hat and scarf.

These items are knitted in the round…yes even the scarf. I love the design to be seen no matter how the scarf ties on or swings while wearing it. Notice in pic that due to being double, I designed the center part of the scarf to be more narrow so as to not swallow your neck.

Enjoy!
