This pattern uses crystals to add a bit of glamour and suggests a self-striping 4-ply yarn in vibrant colourways, the combination of which will quite literally make your knitted accessories pop!

The knitting pattern uses the technique of short-row shaping, and makes the knitted piece automatically twist to form the spiral shape. This pattern is suitable for an intermediate knitter.

The size of the necklace will depend on your tension, a tight knitter will produce a slightly smaller knitted piece, but as it is jewellery, the tension/size is less significant.

You will need around 50 metres (54 yds) of yarn, roughly about 12g of 4-ply yarn. I like to use a colourful sock yarn, but you can use any 4-ply yarn you wish. From a 100g ball of yarn, you could make roughly 8 necklaces.
