This pattern includes 12 pages and more than 30 photos of step-by-step instructions to knit a pair of slippers/mules on a circular sock machine using a 64 or a 60 cylinder. Also includes felting instructions, and schematic to cut out insole and leather soles for extra support and durability.

The opening of the mules is extra-wide for easy slip on and off, which requires a special technique on the sock machine to temporarily place stitches out of work to clear the upthrow cams while knitting back and forth (short-rows). Knit several sets and throw them in the washer to save time, water and energy!

Non-superwashed DK-weighted yarn is recommended for women’s shoe size 8 or smaller, and worsted-weighted yarn is recommended for women’s size 8 or larger.

The level of difficulty is intermediate. Experience in making a hung hem and short-rows for heels and toes is essential. The ribber is not required.
