This Cuffed Bucket Hat is the best winter protection for your ears. The yarn felts to a thick, soft fabric, and no one can tell that the hat is hand made!

This pattern was knit with Patons worsted, 100% wool non-superwash, but I’ve read that Cascade 220 felts well. Gauge is not crucial because adjustments can be made in the length of machine felting. You want to continue the felting process (described in the pattern) until no stitch definition is visible and the hat fits your head nicely, or measures 10-11 inches across. You can make additional adjustments during shaping.

It’s a fun project!
