The Cuirassier’s Cardigan, a zippered sweater with a jacket feel, pulls inspiration from the curvature and overlapping of the metal plates in armor. A provisional cast-on and an I-cord bind-off help create the scalloped edge that gives this piece and elegant, yet edgy, look.

Intermediate difficulty.
