You don’t have to be a panda to appreciate the look of bamboo.

A culm is a single stalk of bamboo, which the ribbing in this hat mimics in fat and skinny form.

The hat decreases in pattern to cool effect on the top and is easily sized to fit a variety of heads.

Pattern is color coded for three sizes - S (16”), M (19”), L (22”).

While the rib pattern does stretch to fit, it is better with a smaller amount of negative ease than you might normally use to better show off the bamboo rib.

Any worsted yarn on the heavier side will provide a nice fabric for this hat. I was able to get two hats in the medium size out of one skein of the Knit Picks Brava.
