Cuniforme is a shoulder hugging wrap which is a crescent shape created by five expanding “wedges” of garter with a stockinette center. A lace border is knitted on at the end, thus avoiding a many-stitched (think long and boring) bind-off.

I used the Scheepjes Stone Washed XL, which has a beautiful drape and is so super soft…but any aran or heavy worsted weight will do. The shawl is adaptable in size, but you will use just a hair under half the amount of your yarn for the body, and just a hair over the amount of your yarn for the lace edging, so if you are using a large hank (for example, Miss Babs Yowza), you might want to weigh your yarn, and then divide so you reserve enough for the edging.
