Here are 10 patterns for hats resembling various fruits and vegetables. A brief background to the idea: The kids said something about wearing an apple on their head after watching Robin Hood. Thus this entire concept came from a preschooler who watched too much tv and turned it into a game of who knew the most fruit and vegetables. Here are some of the ones they’ve came up with… plus a pomegranate just for fun.

All fruit are classed as easy and suitable for confident beginners except Pineapple. Cupcake requires, knitting in the round, simple rib, simple colour changes, yo increases, picking up stitches from rows below and k2tog decreases.

For those that will say cupcake is not a fruit, make an exception for the cherry on top. Healthy means moderation, sometime it means treating ourselves. It’s not like fruit isn’t full of sugar anyway. :)
