Cupress is a colorblock pullover with set-in sleeves worked seamlessly from the top down. The back and sleeves are worked in garter stitch and the front features a cleverly constructed panel in a contrasting color, eliminating the need for intarsia.

This pullover is recommended to be worn with 2 to 7 cm ¾ to 2¾″ of positive ease at the bust.
Shown in size 95 with 7 cm 2¾″ of positive ease at the bust.

MATERIALS
Yarn
860, 890, 920) m (660, 690, 720, 740) 780, 810, 840, 860 (900, 940, 970, 1010) yd each of fingering weight yarn and kidsilk held together for MC. Alternatively, you could use a DK weight yarn in the equivalent amount.
Approx (210, 220, 240, 250) 260, 270, 290, 300 (320, 330, 350, 360) m (230, 240, 260, 270) 280, 300, 320, 330 (350, 360, 380, 390) yd each of fingering weight yarn and kidsilk held together for the front panel in CC. Alternatively, you could use a DK weight yarn in the equivalent amount.

Needles
Body and sleeves: 4.5 mm US size 7 60 cm 24″ and 80 cm 32″or magic loop method) circular needles.
Ribbing: 3.5 mm US size 4 60 cm 24″ and 80 cm 32″or magic loop method) circular needles.
For picking up sts along front panel: Two 80 cm 32″ circular needles at least two sizes smaller than main larger needle.
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions
Removable stitch markers; stitch holders or waste yarn; tapestry needle.

GAUGE
21 sts and 29 rows = 10 cm in St st on larger needle, after blocking.
21 sts and 29 rows = 10 cm in garter stitch on larger needle, after blocking.
Note: Take care, as you may need to use a different needle size in order to achieve st gauge for garter stitch. Furthermore, the garter stitch must be stretched during blocking in order to achieve row gauge.
To save time, take time to check gauge.

  • environ (210, 220, 240, 250) 260, 270, 290, 300 (320, 330, 350, 360) m de laine fingering tricotée en double avec la même quantité de laine kidsilk pour la couleur contrastante pour le panneau devant. Cupress peut également se tricoter avec un métrage équivalent de laine DK (200m pour 100g).

Le prototype a été tricoté en

  • Filcolana ARWETTA CLASSIC (100% Mérinos; 210 m pour 50 g) dans la couleur 957 Very Light Grey pour la couleur principale et en couleur 147 Hunter Green pour la couleur contrastante
  • Filcolana TILIA (60% Mohair, 40% Soie; 210 m pour 25 g) dans la couleur 330 Ash pour la couleur principale et dans la couleur 347 Deep Pine pour la couleur contrastante.

Aiguilles
Corps et manches : aiguilles circulaires 4,5 mm
Côtes d’encolure, du bas du corps et des manches : 3,5 mm
mailles relevées le long du panneau devant : deux paires d’aiguilles de taille 3,5 mm ou moins
N’hésitez pas à adapter les tailles d’aiguilles pour obtenir les échantillons corrects.

Note : Attention, il se peut que vous deviez prendre une taille d’aiguille plus petite pour le point mousse pour correspondre à l’échantillon en nombre de mailles. Par ailleurs, le point mousse devra être étiré au blocage pour correspondre à l’échantillon en nombre de rgs.
