Yarn
Light Fingering (500m/ 100g)

solid camisole: 2 full (100g) skeins for body, 1 mini-skein (20g) for trim.
striped camisole: 2 full skeins

Gauge
25 sts x 30 rows = 10cm x 10cm (4” x 4”), in stockinette

Needles
Needle A: circular needle, 3.5mm (US 4) in diameter 
 (or as needed to meet gauge)

Needle B: circular needle, 3.00mm (US 2.5) in diameter (or two sizes down from Needle A)


Sizing
Finished garment measures as follows at chest circumference:
85cm/34” (90cm/36”, 95cm/38”, 100cm/40”, 110cm/44”, 118cm/47”)
Pattern includes schematic with detailed measurements.

Fit
Select size with desired amount of ease. In the photos, the solid camisole is a size 36” and is modeled with 2” of ease around the bust. The striped camisole is a size 44” and is modeled with zero ease around the bust. Notice that bust size alone does not determine fit. There are many factors that influence how a garment will look on a specific individual, including torso length, shoulder width, and hip to waist ratio, just to name a few!

NOTES ON YARN

Amount of Yarn Needed:
If worked in yarn 500m/ 100g or finer (see below), this is a 2-skein project (plus a mini skein for the contrasting trim, for the solid version) for all sizes, assuming perfect gauge, the yarn you choose not being ‘weird’ in terms of how economically it knits up, all else being equal, etc.

For sizes 110cm/44” and 118cm/47”: If the criteria after ‘assuming’ are not met, it is possible you may need more yarn. You can handle this in several ways: (a) buy extra yarn just in case (an extra skein for the solid version; 2 extra skeins for the striped version), (b) choose a finer yarn that will give you more meterage (see below), or (c) make the camisole a bit shorter than the pattern indicates. The lower bodice eats up a lot of yarn, since there are far more stitches to work with. So omitting even just several cm above the hem can make a substantial difference.

Yarn Substitution:
For best results, aim for a yarn with a meterage around 500m / 100g, or lighter (i.e. more, rather than fewer meters per 100g).

This pattern will also work with fingering-weight sock yarns. Just be aware that, as sock yarn is a bit heavier than what the pattern calls for, you may need more yarn than stated, particularly in the larger sizes.
