Curious Calm is a gauzy, lightweight poncho. It is worked as a textured parallelogram with a syncopated sequence knitting pattern and joined with a three-needle bind off to create a three-dimensional object.

The fabric can be made from light fingering yarn worked at a lacy gauge. The fit is loose and none of the edges are straight. There is a strip of seed stitch on the starting edge that adds a little weight for drape and visual interest.

This is an unstructured loose fitting piece so there is a lot of latitude on fit. To determine your size, measure your shoulder circumference with your arms at your sides. The tape measure should go around both arms, just above your biceps, well above your chest or bust, and below your shoulder cap. If you measure below 44” then make size 0, if you measure 45”–54” make size 1, and if above 54” then size 2. If your row gauge looser, you will make a bigger size than intended; and if your row gauge is tighter, you will make a smaller size than intended.
