These pretty mitts are cleverly designed, with a lace pattern that travels around the hand and up the thumb.

Inspired by intricate wood carvings, these fingerless gloves are knit in the round with a cable & lace motif worked on the bias for extra stretch. This allows for a simple gusset-free thumb hole and no additional shaping. Pattern is written with charts for the ribbing and motif. Pattern is written for circular needles using magic loop technique but can be converted to dpns. This pattern is rated as moderate.
